Since it’s launch in October 2021, weavr has certainly made an impact in the Reconciliation movement. To celebrate this important milestone and build on the work contributed through weavr and its Community for Change members, we’re holding an event, simply known as Yalawanyi – meaning ‘a place to sit together’ in our co-founder’s language of Gathang.
This unique and completely Indigenous run event will feature:
Welcome to Country,
Torres Strait Islander cultural dance performance,
Indigenous catered lunch,
Reconciliation Truth-telling yarns,
Indigenous specialist panel discussing Rising to the Challenge of Reconciliation,
Indigenous handmade gifts,
Traditional story telling…
and much more ✊🏽
